Meet Steve Walak - car enthusiast, racing fan, and proud dad!

Steve loves spending time working on and driving cars and bikes with his kids and wife Amanda. Motorsport is truly a family affair for the Walaks, and that's what it's all about!

The Old Girl: A 1980 Volvo 242GT, the legendary RWD brick! These boxy Swedish tanks have earned cult status in motorsport for their durability and surprising handling. While others are chasing horsepower, Steve's bringing pure, honest, Swedish engineering to the mountain.

No frills, no fuss, just a proper driver's car and a dad living the dream with his family's support!

Steve and Amanda's family have proudly owned Nasko Factory since 2011, but their connection to Queenstown Car Club goes back even further. For them, cars aren't just a hobby they're a lifelong passion!

When Steve's not leading the team in the workshop or spending time with his kids, he's immersed in motorsport. The Coronet Peak Hillclimb is one of his absolute favourite events (even when they had to contend with snow!), so supporting it was a natural fit.

The Next Generation:
Steve's love for cars is rubbing off! Keep an eye out - you'll likely see eldest son Nixon in the car with Dad this year! (God help us! 😄)
