The school holidays gave me the opportunity to take care of a lovely family of 3 adorable children in Wellington. Picnics on the beach, walks in the Botanical Gardens, Te Papa, Junglerama, and a bunch of games out and around home.
I wish more of these jobs were full time 😆😊💗

Tanya is now employed full time again, and so Marko is now looking for his next family to work with.
Here is his introduction: As a NZ qualified and trained linguist who speaks several languages, I am able to communicate and
teach effectively with a sound understanding of phonics, syntax, and general language acquisition. I have assisted with the late development of speech in my role as a Manny, including medical advice for the child’s ENT assessment and subsequent application for treatment. My subsequent care has improved the health of the child dramatically as can be attested to by the mother. I also work with special needs and have experience in the care and development of autistic children.
As a trained Combat Medic of 20 years, I am able to handle any medical situation presented. While teaching I have saved a student’s life when his leg was nearly severed in an accident at the school. I have also taught many classes to parents and first responders in CPR for children/adults.
As a New Zealand trained and qualified teacher and published author, with a specialty in science, I presently relieve at primary schools all over Wellington dealing with a broad range of student’s abilities and circumstances, including special needs, and multi-ethnic environments. Living in multi-cultural settings overseas for 20 years has made me very culturally sensitive and aware and my sincere, honest and caring character has led me to develop solid long-lasting relationships with student, families, community, and other stakeholders.
My altruistic and humanitarian nature is possibly my biggest attribute and I have been formally recognized both the Thai and New Zealand governments for this in the form of “Special Service
Medals” and informally in Myanmar, where I am referred to as the “Grandfather of Rescue” for my ground-breaking work there over the years.
My most recent New Zealand experience has been with children from 3 weeks to 12 years. I have amazing references and am happy for you to contact them directly.
The main question I am asked is “why a Manny”? My answer is that I prefer Mannying over teaching at schools because there are so many more opportunities to change a child’s life as a Manny.
My wife, who is also a Nanny are both extremely dedicated to our jobs although we do not see them as jobs, but callings. We are both calm, patient, understanding and giving people who generate long lasting relationships with all those we meet.
I am always humbled by parents giving me the responsibility for the most precious thing in their lives and so I accept that responsibility with the utmost respect and dedication.
There are many advantages of having a Manny but ultimately it is the person who defines those, and I believe that the references I have received so far are a testament to my abilities and personality.
I will let my references speak for themselves...
Hoping to be a part of your family's life soon,
Marko
