This week on the Pacific Media Network programme: To kick start Tongan Language Week, The Shades popped through to sing the Tongan national anthem in their own beautiful way - this year’s theme is “Fakakoloa 'o Aotearoa 'aki 'a e Lotu Mo'oni" Enriching Aotearoa New Zealand through Prayer and Faith; Dr Linda Manu’atu, Chair of the Tongan Language Committee is in the studio; the team from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School (Wellington) - Tanea Heke (Tumuaki/Director), Fe’ao Katoa (Operations Manager & Co-Producer) & Brett Taefu (1st Year Actor) talk about the upcoming Maori & Pasifika information evening, being held on 14 September; Joseph Fa’afiu, Founder of Storytellers NZ High School Public Speaking Competition, which for the first time in it’s history, is going virtual in 2020.
