Surrounded by the sunny Hawkes bay country side with fantastic views looking out towards Napier and Mahia. With a short walk up the hill from the quarters breath taking views of Mahia Pen*sula and Portland Island looking North and turning to look south Napier city can be seen. We strive to create a 'home away from home' for our guests, where the whole family can soak up the atmosphere of a working
family farm situated in the Hawkes Bay. Red Shed Quarters is a private and secluded farm retreat located between Napier and Wairoa just off State highway two. There are plenty of well marked and well known Department of Conservation walks in the surrounding Tutira and Putorino districts a short drive away from your accommodation. For the avid fisherman there is trout fishing at Lake Tutira or one of the well marked fish and game streams in the area. Its advised to obtain a fishing license before your stay at either the Wairoa or Napier information centers; with this you will be provided with the maps and rules for fishing in the area. There is also the Waikare river mouth beach access point which involves a short DOC walk down to the beach; from here surf casting or floundering is readily available. Delicious home cooked meals can be provided ( at an extra cost) during your stay at the Red Shed Quarters, with prior arrangements being made for special dietary requirements. Red Shed Quarters are fully self contained but you will need to provide all your provisions for your stay. A small dairy is located within a 10 minute drive from the Quarters but can only supply very basic needs.
