We had an incredible opening night at this year's MIX Art Exhibition held at the Art Centre.
Our music group, The MIXfits, performed 3 songs. The first was a waiata, Purea Nei, sung in memory of our General Manager, Kervin Farr, who passed away last month. The second was 'Have You Ever Seen Our Pain' based on the song 'Have You Ever Seen the Rain' by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The lyrics were rewritten by the MIXfits to express the struggles faced by many in Aotearoa New Zealand. The last song is an original, written by the MIXFits as a reminder to the world that peace needs to be given and celebrated by all people around the globe in these turbulent times.
