PPD - Prompt Payment Discount
You may notice on your invoice that you get a discount if you pay for your energy before a certain date? This discount is called a prompt payment discount.

Prompt payment discounts encourage people to pay their invoices on time. If you pay your invoice after the PPD date then you will no longer be eligible for the discount and could potentially miss out on a large saving.

Prompt payment discounts vary in amount. Some are 5%, others are 20%, some people might not get a PPD, it really depends on your provider and the current energy market.

Next time you receive your energy invoice have a look to see whether you have a PPD and always remember to pay on time!
