By Sunday afternoon the storm had passed. But it was still overcast and very cold. That didn't deter the 18 volunteers getting stuck in and yet again cleaning up the Porirua Inlet.
Special thanks to Petone Beach Clean Up Crew / Wellington Coast Clean-Up Crew, Ghost Diving NZ and both the regular and new volunteers for mucking in.
All up a staggering 745kg of rubbish collected in only 2 hours.
And after the cleanup a hot coffee or tea with homemade biscuits was provided by Cindy from Shady Lady Lighting.
