When the air is thick with wasps, but no nests are to be found, I use wasp bait to take care of the problem. 'Vespex' is a treated protein-based bait designed specifically to control Common and German wasps. Worker wasps take the bait back to their nest to feed the occupants, whereby a slow acting insecticide in the bait kills any that eat it. Too easy!
