Junior Website Developer (Part-Time)

WordPress | Shopify | E-commerce | Local SEO

Location: East Tamaki, Auckland (Hybrid)
Hours: 2–3 days per week

We're looking for a motivated Junior Website Developer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has experience building websites and wants to develop their skills across multiple platforms while learning from an experienced digital marketing team.
For more than 7 years, we've helped businesses throughout New Zealand, Australia and South Africa grow through Local SEO, website development and digital marketing. We pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our clients and delivering work we're proud of.

About the Role

You'll work alongside our Co-founder, helping to build, maintain and improve client websites and Local SEO rankings while developing your skills across a range of platforms and technologies.

Your Responsibilities
Build, customise and maintain WordPress websites
Develop and support Shopify, OpenCart and Storby websites
Update and maintain WooCommerce stores
Assist with Squarespace and Wix projects when required
Create responsive websites that work across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Optimise websites for speed, performance and user experience
Assist with Local SEO implementation and website optimisation

You'll be someone who enjoys learning, solving problems and takes pride in producing quality work.

Ideally, you'll have experience with:
WordPress (essential)
Shopify
OpenCart
Storby
HTML and CSS
Basic JavaScript
Website hosting and domain management
Website troubleshooting and maintenance

Experience with the following would be an advantage, but isn't essential:
Local SEO
Google Business Profile
Squarespace
Wix
AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar

Most importantly, you're someone who:
Is eager to learn
Can work independently when required
Has excellent attention to detail
Takes ownership of your work
Has a positive attitude and enjoys solving problems
Is reliable, organised and committed to delivering quality work
