While walking amongst the excitement of the Waitangi weekend celebrations, I got to listen to the amazing kōrero of Matua Tuhoe. He shared his story of a life in the gangs, his conversion to God, the initial judgemental prejudices of mainstream society, being Māori and the subsequent publication of his biography which has since reached people all over the motu.
