An awesome day had by all at the Girls in Infrastructure here in Hamilton last week. 🗼🚧

It was a chance for the amazing women at Connell to show up, represent our sector and share how many fruitful and rewarding pathways are available for young women in civil construction. 🦺

It was a great turnout and also featured our great partners and colleagues, including Downer Group, Ventia, Waipā Networks and more.

The Connell team are incredibly proud to support women in our industry, with our colleagues at Girls in Infrastructure! 👷‍♀️🚧

Their goal is to introduce young women leaving high school to the fruitful, ambitious career pathways available in the infrastructure sector – something we resonate with. There are so many incredible roles available for school leavers, and industry initiatives like these are such a great way of putting our best foot forward as a sector and inspiring the next generation.

That’s why we’re very pleased to join the initiative as Machinery sponsor for Girls in Infrastructure’s Waikato event.

The process of installing 136 CFA piles as part of the new T6 Transformer foundation within the existing substation is now well underway, and we’re looking forward to the finished results!

While clearing a site in Taranaki recently, the Connell team discovered a goldfish in a water tank who seemed happy but probably a bit lonely!

To cut a long story short, he’s joined the Connell team as the official mascot at our Taranaki office! Because at our hearts, we’re all big softies! 🐟🧡
