This weekend was spent covered in paint, surrounded by tools, and wondering how many trips to Bunnings is considered normal.
Owning a home isn’t always glamorous.
Neither is running a business.
Both come with long to-do lists, unexpected challenges, and plenty of moments where you question what you’ve gotten yourself into.
But while working on the house this week, I caught myself thinking about something.
A few years ago, I was dreaming about this life.
I was dreaming about owning a home.
Building a business.
Having the freedom to create my own schedule.
Sharing life with someone I love.
It’s easy to focus on the next goal, the next milestone, or the next thing that needs fixing.
But sometimes it’s worth stopping and recognising that you’re already living parts of the life you once hoped for.
So this is your reminder (and mine) to enjoy the chapter you’re in.

For the last four months, I've broken my number one social media rule.
I've barely posted 😱
Not because I stopped believing in the power of marketing, but because life got busy in the best possible way.
I got engaged. We bought our first home. We've been tackling DIY projects and settling into a new chapter plus I've continued working with some amazing clients behind the scenes.
The experience reminded me of something important: when business and life get busy, marketing is often the first thing to fall off the list.
That's not a lack of commitment. It's reality.
The good news? You can always start again.
Over the next few months, I'll be sharing practical ways to create content when you're time-poor, simple systems that make marketing easier, and plenty of behind-the-scenes moments along the way.

Had the privilege of being invited to the Women and Trees NZ Camp 2026 to present a Social Media for Small Business 101 workshop hosted at Eastwood Hill this weekend.
The ladies, who had travelled from all around New Zealand, were energetic and had plenty of questions about how to take their businesses socials to the next level.
