avant-garde flapper written all over it.
With the downtown hotel setting,
the gilded glow of the chandeliers,
and that sense of timeless romance,
you’ll be swept straight into its opulent atmosphere.

Some stories are simply too exquisite
not to be told twice.
Sarah looked like she’d stepped out of
a golden-age painting in her beaded gown,
radiating glamour and grace,
while James’ gaze never once left her,
pure devotion captured frame by frame.

I’ve been revisiting old albums lately,
and this Melbourne day still makes my heart skip a beat.
A true chapter of vintage elegance,
glowing love, and unforgettable artistry. ✨

🌿 Becky & Phil at Taylors Mistake 🌊

I’ve known Becky
since I was about 15 years old ♥️

She’s my oldest friend’s big sister
and even back then I thought she was
the coolest person alive 🌸

Becky went on to create her own
interior design empire.
Her whole world is painted
in colour and creativity.
She’s NZ famous for her design magic
and now she’s opened her very own
chic cushion emporium in Christchurch.

Every room she touches sings with colour
and so does her heart and soul 💛

So when Becky & Phil asked me to photograph their wedding
I was honestly humbled.
Becky lives and breathes creativity,
so I knew this would be
no ordinary wedding…
and oh, it wasn’t 🕺

I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings
but theirs was pure alchemy ✨

I was in my flower-growing life then too,
so alongside the camera
I brought buckets of dahlias, zinnias, sunflowers, daisies
and other flowers of love 🌸🌻🌼
my small gift to their boho paradise.

They claimed the entire inlet at
Taylors Mistake in Christchurch
and transformed it into a wonderland.
Everywhere you looked there was laughter,
bare feet in the sand,
friends draped in colour and joy.

It wasn’t just a wedding
it was a whole weekend of love,
like no other 🌿🌊
