Mobility Dogs

Matariki marks new beginnings, and this little one is right at the start of his journey with us. As we take time to reflect on the year gone and look ahead to the one ahead, we're grateful for every puppy raiser, trainer and supporter who helps dogs like this grow into life-changing companions. Say hello to Caesar 🐾 Our newest recruit to the Mobility Dogs programme, and already an expert at looking adorable while doing absolutely nothing. Big paws to fill, but we reckon he's up for it.

Shopping centres are a big ask for any dog in training. Shiny floors, echoing sounds, crowds of people, escalators, food smells — the list of potential distractions is basically endless. And yet here's Jaspa, trotting alongside a mobility scooter through Westfield looking absolutely delighted with himself and completely unbothered by all of it.
That grin says it all. 🐾💚

Supermarkets are one of the most important environments a Mobility Dog needs to master — busy, bright, full of smells and sounds, with narrow aisles and lots of people moving around. Walking calmly beside a power chair through all of that, staying focused and close, is no small thing. This is what months of careful training looks like in practice. 🛒🐾💚
