: The Memoirs of a Public Servant
We were blessed to attend Samoa's former Deputy Prime Minister, Misa Telefoni's book launch.
His new book TAUTUA: The Memoirs of a Public Servant is a fantastic and engaging read. Penned by the Honourable Misa himself, it opens the curtain into some of the tireless work public servants do.
It also talks about his personal life. A lovely surprise was seeing some of our Samoan classic songs such as TAUTALATALA (means too much talk) and CAN'T YOU SEE I'M SORRY mentioned. These songs along with many others were written by his Mother, Pili'opo Nelson.
Misa was a student of Marist Brothers Mulivai in Samoa.
An absolute pleasure to read and understand Misa's journey.

We have been tossing about as to what we should post as our last for this year’s VAIASO O LE GAGANA SAMOA.
TEACHERS!
They were, they are, and they will always be the unsung heroes! They continue to pave the way for us across all levels of academic and applied studies.
This is a gratitude post for all teachers especially the ones who continue to propel the preservation of our language, culture, and traditions.
Whether it’s online courses, cultural dance workshops, in a traditional classroom, or in the home, we thank you!
Your legacy, your passion and knowledge have and will continue to prepare us for our travels; that one day, we will also be able to apply and share that knowledge with others.
When much is given, much is expected!
I le agaga fa’afetai.
