Allow me to share with you the answer to your hardest engine questions. You may not have heard of Johnson’s Piston Rings, but they are a rare, specialized powerhouse that has been part of our legacy here at Franklin Engineering since the 1920s.
We are preserving a dying art. Today, we stand as the ONLY place in all of New Zealand that still manufactures piston rings in-house. Whether it’s a bespoke build or a rare vintage find, if you need it, we manufacture it.
The Johnson Way:
Challenge Accepted: We dare you to bring us a job we can't handle. If it can't be found, we make it.
Metal Reclaiming: For the vintage enthusiasts, we can reclaim engine block metal in our specialized Arc Spray Room—bringing worn/corroded blocks back to life.
One-Stop Shop: If we aren't custom-making them for you, we're sourcing them; we can provide 3-piece oil rings for any and all models.
