Thank you everyone for your support of my business for the past year but as mentioned recently, I will be having some downtime and taking it a little easy for my recovery of the recent shoulder operation.

This was my work area yesterday morning for 3 hours to install underfloor installation. LuckIy l don’t mind small spaces as I do caving as a recreational activity. Yes I had full PPE - gloves, P2 rated mask, eye protection, knee pads, gumboots, full body overalls.

Stage 2 from previous garden job. Repaving under the clothes line and the pathway along the back lawn

Recent outdoor garden job to extend an existing raised garden bed (using reclaimed NZR railway sleepers). Luckily manage to do between the spate of wet Auckland weather.
Handy Andy Tip 1: For a raised garden against a fence, put H4 rated/treated retaining timber in. Do not use the fence paling to hold soil as this timber is not rated for ground contact. Pine Paling are H3.2 treated for outdoor use above ground only.
Handy Andy Tip 2: If using a raised garden for food/vegetable production, line the inside raised timber retaining with a liner material (such as plastic) before back filling with soil. This should prevent leaching of the timber preservatives.
