Celebrating five years of leadership from our CEO, Darrio Penetito-Hemara

Over the past five years, Darrio has led with vision, courage and a deep commitment to kaupapa Māori values, helping strengthen Toi Tangata impact across Aotearoa and the wider hauora sector.

His leadership has extended well beyond our organisation, including serving on the Indigenous Wellbeing Committee for the last two years, alongside contributing to a number of boards, advisory groups and leadership spaces focused on improving wellbeing outcomes and driving meaningful systems change.

More recently, Darrio has completed the ‘Ka Eke Poutama Programme’ with Te Whare Hukahuka, further investing in his own growth as a leader and strengthening the capability he brings to our people, communities and kaupapa.

We acknowledge the energy, passion and leadership Darrio continues to bring to the table. A leader who backs his people, champions Māori excellence and remains committed to creating better futures for our whānau and communities.

Ngā mihi nui e hoa, we see the mahi and we acknowledge the impact!🤎
