🎭 Our Drama Programme kicks off this Term 3!

We're excited to welcome young performers to our Junior and Intermediate Drama classes, led by tutor Carolyn Loader, who joined us in Term 2.

With over 15 years of experience across South and East Auckland's theatre scene, Carolyn is an accomplished director and stage manager who is passionate about creating supportive, high-energy environments where young people can build confidence, develop their creativity, and shine on stage.

🌟Junior Drama: Beginners Onstage
Through imaginative drama exercises, storytelling, and scene work, students will develop foundational performance skills and confidence while building creative thinking, focus, and stage presence.

Where: Theatre
Day: Mondays, 27 July – 14 September
Time: 4–5pm
Cost: $100
Number of classes: 8
Suitable for: 7–10 years
Max participants: 10

🌟Intermediate Drama: Main Stage Stars
Through script work, scene study, and core acting techniques, students will strengthen their performance skills, build confidence, collaborate with others, and make bold creative choices on stage.

Time: 5–6pm
Cost: $100
Number of classes: 8
Suitable for: 11–16 years

Evening clay classes are back for Term 3! 🏺🌱

Join our wonderful tutors, Shane (Tuesday) and Siriporn (Thursday), for another inspiring term of making. This term, Shane will introduce a sculptural focus within his programme, encouraging students to explore both functional ceramics and creative clay sculpture. Siriporn will continue with her current programme, offering expert guidance and support with your projects, whether you're a beginner or an experienced maker.

Whether you’re completely new to clay, enjoy it as a hobby, or already have experience, these classes are open to anyone with an interest in working with clay.

Join us as we celebrate the creativity and imagination of our young artists at the Nathan Homestead Pukepuke Children’s Art Exhibition for Term 2.

Over the past term, participants from our Junior Art and Ceramic Critters classes have explored new ideas, developed their artistic skills, and created a wonderful collection of paintings, drawings, and ceramic works. This exhibition is a chance to recognise their hard work and share their achievements with whānau and the wider community.

UPDATE: This workshop has been pushed back, new dates in the details

We’re excited to share our two-day Drawing From Life workshop series with our lovely tutor Chloe Marsden!

We’ll spend the sessions observing and drawing from nature subjects while being guided through techniques in proportion, light, shadow, and detail ✏️🖼️ Returning drawers, or trying for the first time, this workshop is a welcoming space to create from nature 😌🌿

Spaces are filling quickly, so we recommend registering your place early if you’d like to join us for this immersive experience!

The Manurewa Potters Club have called Nathan Homestead Pukepuke home for over 50 years. Our Upstairs Gallery is currently filled with works from their group exhibition, Vessels, showing now!

This exhibition explores the meaning of ‘vessel’, ranging from purely functional to totally abstract, from simplicity of form though to expressive sculptural pieces. The works presented in this exhibition are all created by members of MPC. These vessels reflect MPC’s multicultural collective.
