Cal Ross of Bert’s Bar in Wellington is flying in to command the bar for the next edition of Bar Mea’s Friends in Fine Places series. Famed for his friendly, chatty approach to hospitality, Cal is well regarded around the New Zealand hospitality scene having represented the country internationally on a number of occasions.

Having recently taken up stick at Woodward distillery's flagship Bert’s Bar, with fellow hospo legends Mikey Ball & Brad Power, Cal has begun to stamp his mark on the Wellington scene with sensational menu of creative delights. Grab a seat at the bar and experience true Cal Ross hospitality in a space where he once honed his skills in the hospitality scene.

Cal returns with a greatest hits menu of creations developed during his time in the New Zealand.

The ultimate recovery: a Sunday session dedicated to Bloody Marys! In collaboration with Skyy vodka Bar Mea are putting together a special menu featuring some signature creations alongside a full garnish station where you can customize your Bloody Mary however you like. To accompany, they’ll be shucking Te Matuku oysters for $3 each, creating the perfect recovery from the night before, or simply the start to a solid Sunday session at Mea.
