One of the biggest misconceptions about bridal alterations is that they're "just a few simple adjustments."
Every gown is different. The fabric, lace placement, construction and design all determine how we approach the alterations. Sometimes the planning takes just as much expertise as the sewing itself.
That's why I take the time to explain the process to my brides at the very beginning. I want them to understand what their dress needs, why it's needed, and what will happen at each fitting.
When you know what to expect, you can simply enjoy watching your gown transform instead of worrying about it 😌
For this bride, we added lining to the bodice to give her the coverage and comfort she wanted, while still keeping the beauty of the original design.
