The service covers one of the largest play grounds per capita (1.4 million population) in the world, and is viewed as part of the greater Auckland infrastructure. Public surveys continue to place ARHT as the Most significant regional amenity, through the provision of an onsite 24/7, 365 days emergency Air Ambulance, Search and Rescue Helicopter Service.

Lifting off on a mission to Great Barrier Island yesterday, to assist a patient needing urgent aeromedical treatment and transport to hospital. 🚁

🚁Our crew taking off to assist a patient in a critical condition, requiring urgent aeromedical care. Upon arrival the patient was flown to Auckland City Hospital for further specialist treatment. In missions such as these, time is of the essence.
