Clean. Fresh & Bold.
This is the new look tohu for Te Takiwā o Manukau.
What’s in a design?
Great design starts with a well articulated narrative. When you can nail the WHO & WHY of any organisation you can start crafting an associated identity to connect with the people and the story of that place.
For TTOM we know WHO we are and WHY we exist. We are servents of Te Kaihanga, giving our all to see Manukau flourish in every way. We acknowledge the unique Māori & Pacific flavour in our rohe & we pay homage to our shared migration story as shown by the use of two taurapa (the stern of a waka). This imagery also points towards the two waka which can be seen inside of Te Karaiti Te Pou Herenga Waka.
Furthermore, the triple feature of the mangopare design & putiputi design speak to the power of the trinity also the nature of both icons when looking at Te Haahi Mihingare - the shark speaks of tenacity & endurance, the flower represents grace, gentleness and the fragrance of the Lord at work in our communities.
The black, white & red colourization treatment speaks to our Māori palate - the colour combination is a visual connector. Black = Te Korekore (the great nothingness before Atua spoke for there to be light. WHITE = light & illumination - Te Ao Marama. RED = Te Whei Ao - speaks about the earth from which man was first created. It represents emergence & the power of Atua made available through Te Wairua Tapu.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Are you ready for the ‘new thing’ that God wants to do in your life? 🤙🏾🙏🏾⭐️
Tēnei ahau te mahi nei i te mea hou; ākuanei te tupu ai: e kore rānei e mōhiotia e koutou? ka oti i ahau he ara i te koraha, he awa i te titohea.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:19

Kia ora koutou. HERE’S FIVE REASONS TO COME ALONG TO TE KARE O NGĀ WAI:
1) Because Māngere’s favourite Māori Evangelist Keri-Ann Hokianga will be preaching this Sunday! And she brings the 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
2) Because Te Kare o Ngā Wai is a new and exciting expression of the haahi mihingare space for the whole whānau (especially our rangatahi) to enjoy.
3) Because people have experienced healings and miracles and you might too!
4) Because cool people will be there like the legendary Rev. Mark Barnard from St James Anglican Church Mangere Bridge
5) and finally because there’s nothing good on Netflix & your mind, body, spirit and soul will thank you for choosing to do something that’s ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOU! Like hanging out with Jesus & hearing the word! 😎 Nau mai haere mai e te whānau!
