Well we cannot believe we’re posting this but after 6.5 years on and off… it’s finally done.
This Brazilian Kombi came to us de-registered, tired, and a long way from roadworthy. What followed wasn’t just a job it was a journey.
There were challenges at every turn, moments we questioned it, and a whole lot of patience required to see it through. Definitely not your quick turnaround kind of build 😅
But we stuck with it…
And now, it has passed compliance and is officially back on the road 🙌
From de-registered to fully restored, this is one we’re seriously proud of. A true transformation and a real head turner!

There’s something pretty special about bringing an old, tired-looking vehicle back to life ✨
What most people see as faded paint, dents, and wear… we see potential. Every job is a chance to restore not just a car, but the pride someone feels driving it again.
Whether it’s a daily run-around that’s seen better days or a well-loved vehicle that just needs some care, we love being part of that transformation.

Stanmore Bay Flooding Community Meeting
Like many of you, we live and work right here in this community. We know that the flooding events in 2023 affected a lot of local families, homes, and businesses including some of our own customers. We ourselves were badly affected as many of you will know.
A community meeting has been organised to bring everyone together: to share what happened, continues to happen, talk through concerns, and most importantly, look at what support and next steps might be needed going forward for future weather events.
📍 Where: Hibiscus Coast Boating Club
📅 When: Thursday 19th February
⏰ Time: 6:30pm
This meeting isn’t about blame it’s about connection, support, and making a plan as a community. If you’ve been affected, or even if you just want to understand what’s going on and how you can help, you’re very welcome to attend.
Please feel free to share this, we appreciate your support.

We want to take a moment to share this openly and honestly as it's becoming a harsh reality for so many right now.
As a small, family-run local business, we have always done our best to support our community whether that’s helping people through unexpected repairs, being flexible where we can, or working hard to get vehicles back on the road as quickly as possible.
Lately, we’ve found ourselves in a difficult position where completed repairs are being delayed due to payment not being available at collection. We truly understand that times are tough for many right now, we’re feeling it too.
We always provide an estimate of costs before booking / commencing repairs in order to keep things clear and straightforward and to avoid stress and uncertainty around costs involved with repairs. Which makes this even harder for us to have to share.
Unfortunately, slow or non-payment has begun to seriously impact our ability to pay staff, cover materials, and keep the workshop running smoothly. That’s not a position we want to be in.
For this reason, we’re having to be clearer around our payment terms going forward. This isn’t about a lack of care it’s about ensuring we can continue to be here, supporting our customers and our community long-term.
We appreciate your understanding, kindness, and continued support.
Thank you for backing a local business.

We’re straight back into it with the classics. This 1961 Holden Special needed a little TLC in time for the Kumeu show this weekend. You may just see it there if you’re heading along.
