Some photos from April that I missed posting! Thanks to Tinai Delaibau for sending them. These women in Marata Village in Wailoku, Fiji were delighted to receive bras. Thanks so much to everyone who donates or collects these much needed items! Receiving a good bra that fits comfortably is life changing for many women in Fiji and elsewhere in the Pacific! The bras they receive from us are often the only ones they own.

Sorting the latest lot of bras posted to our Auckland coordinator Kate (with some help from my niece and Japanese student) and ready to drop back to her tomorrow. I’ve shown the various piles we end up with - washing, rubbish, mending and those needing bra extenders or straps. Bra extenders are much needed, if you have any not being used - bras like 10J or 8G for example are not much use in the islands without extenders! All paper is recycled and all the plastic goes to the soft plastic recycling, any bags or paper bags get given to op shops for their customers (or good sturdy bags get sent with the bras). All packages with a phone number on the back receive a thank you text. Thanks so much to everyone for your continued support! Cheers, Juliet

Project Uplift was in the news recently! Promotions company Rise and Shine did an 'activation' of a new Australian bra brand Nala, where women could swap/donate their old bra for a new Nala bra with donated bras being given to Project Uplift. A total of over 400 bras were donated and we also received 410 new Nala bras to distribute to women in need in the Pacific - just fabulous! Check out this story in the NZ Herald.
