IIntense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL) can revitalise your eyes, and your skin. Our state-of-the-art Dry Eye Clinic can assist you with the right treatment, tailored to your individual needs.
WHAT IS INTENSE PULSED LIGHT THERAPY?
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. IPL uses controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light to pe*****te the skin around the eye. The light energy is absorbed by pigmentation and blood vessels, helping to break them down and encourage the skin’s natural repair process. This treatment also stimulates the glands around the eyelids to improve their secretions.
A University of Auckland study found that after only two treatments, 86% of patients had noticed significant improvements in their symptoms.
IS IPL RIGHT FOR YOU?
There are several types of dry eye, with different causes. While IPL is effective for all of them, it’s best suited for some types of dry eye over others.
Our team will examine your eyes to find what treatment works best for you.
