The Kiwis' team made a strong showing this time, with Bruce Kendall winning the long distance race in front of 150 participants. He finished second in the course race, behind only the very strong Italian athlete Andrea Torzoni. Claudio Barbuzza, the class promoter since 2019, was among the ever-present team members, managing to finish in 18th place. This success will undoubtedly provide a significant boost to the Windsurfer New Zealand class for the next international event.
