One of the exercises on the 28-Day Toltec Challenge invites the participant to write a story. Storytelling is a major component of Toltec practice, a necessary part of eliminating personal history. Don Juan Matus tells Carlos Castaneda that he should “create a fog around himself”.

The storyteller's tale is first of all believable. It is not devoid of “truth”, but the truth is cast in such a way as to allow assumptions to build a more adventurous reality. We live in a time of “fake news”. It is fake because it is totally fabricated and repeated over and over to provide a quality of truth. If you look at the person voicing the fake news it is clear that they will never tell the truth, or indeed anything that even resembles truth.

So here is a story in the frame of the Toltec storyteller.
Most writers are academics, university types, though often they don't finish their degrees. I never went to university; I was a lost soul looking for a reason to continue belonging to the species of homo sapiens. This was a species that seemed very far from being any sort of wise man. Homo Indocilis might be a better name, ignorant man. I wasn't claiming to be anything more myself, but I did want to find wisdom.

Being British I was also pig-headed. Pig-headed, ignorant and lost were all the things needed to get a slap from the universe large enough to wake up. Such slaps are not exactly where you would expect to find them. They pretty much always arrive when you least expect them. Maybe you lose a respected parent, or you pick up a deadly infection. You eat something that turns your world on its head. You meet someone who doesn't fit into your ordinary frame of reference. Its disturbing, disruptive, crazy. And then you wake up.
I saw God. Not the white bearded fellow that's depicted in art. No, something so indescribable and awesome that was clearly beyond any form of classification or description that “God” is all that is left. Nor was God seen with eyes. Eyes are a very limited tool for seeing at the best of time. Seeing is penetrating the backdrop of what appears to be solid. The eyes create a solid form, but seeing dissolves that form into patterns. Patterns are formed through the interference of energies and they contain knowledge.

You can hear or read words and your understanding is dependant on the interpretation you place on them. You understand your world as you have been conditioned to see it. That is unless or until you get a slap, a shock from the universe. Now you will have to re-evaluate it all.

Of course a slap or shock leaves you reeling. Two things happened at the same time. Firstly, a lost soul reeling starts asking questions. There's no point in asking questions of Homo Indocilis, so you start asking yourself questions. When a person asks serious questions seriously answers come back from the world around. Books jump off shelves, open at specific pages, offer signposts where next. You either follow them or not. One thing leads to another, and another.

Years later the whole journey fell into place. I woke up to the story. This wasn't the string of events that had lead from one thing to the next. Its never that string which is important, it was the interference patterns that arise from the events acting upon each other. Nothing was unimportant in this regard. All the seemingly mis-takes were as essential as everything else. Castaneda called it the Journey to Ixtlan. I will call it the Journey to Mitimiti.

The 28-Day Toltec Challenge is a c***k in the doorway to becoming a (wo)man of knowledge. A c***k allows a person to see inside, but they have to be able to see. The first is the Law of Paradox which shows that the first act of seeing is that you can't see. If you haven't taken the Challenge do so now. Commit yourself to finishing it. If you already done the Challenge, do it again. If you are ready to go further, talk to me.

I had a session with Mercredan the other day about a physical symptom in my body I was worried about.. He gave me such an in depth answer, its still perturbating in my mind.. and my symptoms have stopped.. I really recommend booking a session with Trance Medium Francis Evans to get to the bottom of any physical symptoms that worry you..
