Happy & safe driving #1:
Driving mistakes:
Even good drivers πmake mistakes. You can cut down the number of mistakes you make by concentrating on your driving.
Actively think about your driving and what's going on around youπ. Then you'll be prepared to react if something unexpected happens. And you'll be less likely to make mistakes.
Always take another look πbefore you pull out at intersections, including roundabouts.
This gives you a chance to see something that you might have missed the first time you checked.

Knowing NZ Rode Code #10:
Passing a cyclist
Ideally allow at least 1.5m between you and a cyclist when passing. If you cannot pass safely, slow down and wait behind the cyclist until you can pass safely.
There are some situations where cyclist may want to move toward the centre of lane in order to keep safe. This is called βtaking the laneβ. A driver of a motor vehicle may encroach on a flush median, when passing a cyclist provided they do so safely.
Knowing NZ Road Code #9
