This project presented a unique challenge: overhead powerlines just 3.8m from the building. Rather than seeing this as an obstacle, we turned it into an opportunity to demonstrate excellence in safety management.
Our Proactive Approach:
✅ 4 months advance planning – engaged with Vector and WSP well ahead of construction
✅ Comprehensive documentation including:
• Alternative scaffolding drawings & schematics
• Detailed Health & Safety Plan
• Work Method Statements for all trades
• Delivery space planning & scaffolding dos/don'ts
• Emergency procedures & nearest hospital information
✅ Close Approach Consent – successfully obtained approval through thorough preparation
✅ Ongoing compliance – 28-day onsite meetings with Vector throughout the project
📅 PROJECT TIMELINE:
• Foundation → Framing → Roofing → Cladding → Services → Fitoff
• Final inspection passed ✔️
• Code Compliance Certificate approved ✔️
• From foundation to CCC: 6 months ⏱️
The end result? Five beautiful homes delivered safely, efficiently, and with full regulatory compliance.
