Now that was a BRILLIANT game of football to watch!

Most Rangers went into this game unaware that a record was on the line ... avoid defeat and break the record for the most games undefeated by a West Coast Rangers Men's side ....!

Hamilton Wanderers came out strongest in the first half and it took some heroics from Keeper/Captain Damian Hirst to keep the scores level. But he couldn't stop a cheeky chested goal and Wanderers took the lead into half time.

Rangers came out firing in the second half and some great work from Connor O'Malley gave Alec Death a chance, which he took with aplomb, to make it 1 - 1.

However, Wanderers were not done and a fantastic strike from their skillful midfielder from all of 25 yards gave Hamilton the lead late in the second half.

Nervous minutes for Rangers, but a moment of magic from Liam Wolloner saw Rangers draw level as he played a 1-2 on the edge of the box before rifling a shot into the bottom corner for 2 - 2.

And that's the way it stayed as the final whistle blew both sides knew they had left nothing out on the pitch and the draw was a fair result in a pulsating game!

West Coast Rangers are unbeaten in seven and are looking to keep building on this fantastic run.

Final Score: West Coast Rangers 2 Hamilton Wanderers 2

It's a cold and dreary night at Fred Taylor Park where the BOYS find themselves one down at the break!

It could have been more, but for an outstanding first half performance from our keeper captain Damian Hirst, and Wanderers have been asking a lot of questions of the Rangers side, who'll look to kick into gear in the second half.

COME ON THE BOYS!!!

On Sunday 31st May, West Coast Rangers welcomed their partner club Northland FC to Fred Taylor Park for a one day football festival involving their 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Grade Academy teams.

Though the weather was atrocious for much of the day, there were smiles, laughs and some seriously good football on show as the kids enjoyed some fantastic games, backed up by their wonderful coaches, developing their skills on the pitch but also getting to make new friendships off the pitch too.

After lunch, which was devoured in record time, the Northland and Rangers teams mixed together for a fun 5 v 5 tournament which again provided some amazing skills in every position.

Thank you to all the Rangers coaches and parents for making Northland FC feel so welcome, but special thanks to all the Northland FC coaches and parents, who braved the howling wind and raging rains, to support their teams and make sure the players got here, to have a special day, that was enjoyed by all.

I'll leave the last words to Cole Harvey from Northland FC as we would mirror these feelings right back to Northland FC!

'It is always fantastic to continue to build connections between our clubs and beginning this process from younger ages is certainly beneficial to our players and their relationships in football'!
'Certainly looking forward to having more events with your crew in the future'!

Thank you Northland FC, the very best for the rest of the season and we look forward to doing this again soon.

From everyone at West Coast Rangers FC
