During Mohs surgery, every layer matters. 🩺✨
If cancer cells are seen at the edge of the removed tissue, it means some may still be left behind. In that case, another thin layer is carefully removed and checked under the microscope. This process is repeated until the margins are clear - meaning no cancer cells remain.
