International visitor arrivals fell 1.8 percent in May 2026, from April 2026, on a seasonally adjusted basis.
However, arrivals were up 6.7 percent pa from May 2025, amounting to 93 percent of pre-pandemic levels (May 2019). There were 3,659,447 foreign tourist arrivals over the year to May 2026, 8.5 percent more than the year to May 2025.
