Weโve had a couple of these gorgeous Orange Slice-inspired lounge chairs through the workshop recently ๐ค๐ค
One restored in black vinyl for a customer, and one in crisp white โ which weโve donated to Franklin County Karate to auction as a fundraiser. Two very different looks, same satisfying result.

While we love the opportunity to help with your projects, we also love seeing furniture last longer between visits! ๐ชโจ
Here are a few simple things you can do to keep your pieces looking their best:
๐ก๏ธ Use covers โ arm caps, headrest covers and throws protect the areas that wear first.
๐ Rotate your cushions โ even wear prevents permanent sagging over time.
๐พ Groom your pets โ less hair and oils transferred to your furniture. A rubber grooming glove works a treat!
๐ช Lift, donโt drag โ dragging stresses joints and scratches floors.
โ ๏ธ When in doubt, ask first โ a stain treated incorrectly can become permanent. Early advice is always worth it.

Continuing our work on the clinic fit-out for Melody Stewart, this special Captainโs chair became a project in its own right. Made by the Crocker Chair Company in Sheboygan, Wisconsin sometime between 1880 and 1932, the American oak frame had survived more than a century โ though not without fire damage and a broken tilt mechanism.
Chairlab carefully stripped the chair back, applied a plant-based clear coat to honour the grain, sourced and repaired period-appropriate components, and finished it with a new reversible seat cushion. A piece with deep history, thoughtfully restored and ready for its next chapter.
