Thank you all for joining us last Saturday! ✨
We had 9 attendees (7 new people and 2 regular members) and enjoyed learning about Japanese culture which helps you to understand some elements of Rakugo.
As a warm-up, we played Japanese traditional games. 😁
This photo shows a Japanese toy called "kendama" (けん玉). It’s a ball-and-cup kind of game.
In this session, our teacher and core member Eishi san performed a ghost story called "Nopperabo" (のっぺらぼう) 👻
We also covered the idea of "kamishimo" (上下) by demonstrating the seating-arrangement with Japanese manner.
Hope you all had a lot of fun, and see you in the next session!
Please note the next session is scheduled for Saturday, 1st October 😊

Thank you all for coming last Saturday!
Although there were fewer people than last time, we had a great session 😊
We enjoyed practicing our storytelling techniques with the Japanese folktale "The Peach Boy (Momotaro)" 🍑
We also learned some gestures with a fan (sensu) and a handkerchief (tenugui).
The next session is on 24th September, Saturday.
Newcomers and observers are welcome!
