Every Sorcery painting begins the same way it always has: with an artist and a blank canvas.

To celebrate nearly one year since Shrine of the Dragonlord first made its debut in Sorcery: Contested Realm, Fantasy Artist Ed Beard Jr has shared a full time-lapse of the painting from first brushstroke to finished masterpiece.

Reflecting on the journey, Ed shared: “It’s been a 47-year self-employed artist journey for me that I truly did not think would be rekindled to such great heights again in my career… thanks to YOU, the DragonLord is reborn.”

We’re incredibly proud to work with artists whose passion for traditional, hand-painted fantasy art continues to inspire players around the world.
