Smarter Meeting Room Management Starts at the Door

Another recent meeting room upgrade completed by the Cackle team

This time, we installed meeting room booking panels outside the meeting spaces to make room scheduling much easier for the team.

At first glance, a room booking panel might look like it simply displays the room name — but it actually does a lot more than that.

With this setup, staff can quickly see whether a room is available, check current and upcoming bookings, reserve the room directly from the panel, or scan a QR code to book from their phone.

The visual LED indicators also make it easy to see the room status from a distance, so there is no need to walk right up to the screen or open the door to check.

One feature we really like is automatic no-show release.

If a room has been booked but no one checks in or uses it within the set time, the system can automatically release the room and make it available again. It is a simple feature, but it can make a big difference in busy workplaces where meeting rooms are always in demand.

For us, good workplace technology should feel simple, practical, and easy to use. When it is done well, it helps the whole office flow better without people needing to think too much about it.
