In Session Productions

It's been a very enriching and rewarding experience working with the wonderful group of acting students for this 10-week term.

This has been our first intake of students that I've worked with in acting for camera and stage outside of the traditional, formal institutions of education such as MIT and SSFTV where I have taught in the past.

It has been great to work alongside Whau Local Board / Arts Whau who have been central in getting this service up and running by supporting us, In Session Productions, and our vision to provide a very accessible acting course to the community.

One of the highlights of the whole course was seeing and being part of the students final performances to a live audience. The rehearsals, pre-production and final performance was a real privilege to be a part of.

But my biggest takeaway from the whole experience was the enjoyment of every class. Watching and experiencing the creativity from each student singularly and collectively was great and in and of itself a complete reward.

I think this echoes the feelings of all of those who took part in the classes when I say, it's sad that we have come to an end.

However, I look forward to working with each of our team in the future and hope to be able, with Arts Whau's blessing, to offer further tuition in the future.
