𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗷𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗼
Creative Mojo is an idea I have been working on for past one year. The sole objective is to freely distribute my real wealth – accumulated professional knowledge over the last 30 years. Use it to mentor young talent and give them the professional guidance and shape their careers.

The objective was clear, now came the tricky part the presentation – the logo. A logo is very critical to all communication. In simple marketing terms, a good logo grabs attention, makes a strong first impression, is the foundation of your brand identity, is memorable, separates you from competition, fosters brand loyalty.

But how do you design a logo when you are the product and what you are offering does not have a physical form with any traditional tangible benefits.

You look towards the heavens and seek spiritual guidance.
That’s what I did.

My inspiration has always been my mother and for her it was Lord Ganesha. Although she had no religious leanings, she was possessed by the beauty of Lord Ganesha and had an amazing collection of Lord Ganesha figurines. Growing up, I was surrounded by them and it also became my source of inspiration, especially in my art classes.

Mojo literally means a magic charm, talisman, or spell. No one needs it more than people in the creative field.

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗷𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮
Ganesha’s form is highly charming and mesmerizing. The form of Lord Ganesh evokes our imaginations and pleases us beyond compare, there is also deep spiritual symbolism behind the form of Lord Ganesh.

A famous sloka dedicated to Lord Ganesh describes him thus.
“𝘝𝘢𝘬𝘳𝘢 𝘛𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘒𝘰𝘵𝘪 𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘺𝘢 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘩𝘢
𝘕𝘪𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘢𝘮 𝘒𝘶𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘢 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘷𝘢 𝘒𝘢𝘢𝘳𝘺𝘦𝘴𝘩𝘶 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘢”
Meaning: I worship the Lord with a curved trunk and huge body with the effulgence of a core suns. Let him remove the obstacles to all my deeds and lead them to fulfillment.

Thus, we find Ganesha having a huge body and an elephant face. The huge belly symbolizes the created universe. The elephant head is the symbol of Gyan. In Ganapati Atharvanasirsha Upanishad we find different shades of deep symbolic meaning come out with regard to Lord Ganesha’s form. In this Upanishad, Ganesha is identified with the supreme Brahman and the highest head of the created universe.

Interesting symbolism behind Lord Ganesha’s form and its incorporation in the logo

· Usually elephants are the path makers in forests. When an elephant passes through thick woods, a way is created for the other animals to follow. Lord Ganesh is worshiped first before starting anything new. Lord Ganesha clears the obstacles and paves the way for us to move forward in life. The bold san serif letter ‘M’ symbolizes the mammoth body of the elephant that clears the path towards acquiring new knowledge.

· The large elephant head of Lord Ganesha symbolizes wisdom, understanding, and a discriminating intellect that one must possess to attain perfection in life. If you look closely, the top of the letter ‘J’ in the logo is shaped in form of an elephant head and the trishul is also graphically represented in form of a nib of the pen, the point where all creativity starts.

· The trunk can hold anything and everything existent in this universe. Likewise, the individuals should possess qualities of high adaptability and efficiency in life. This in other words can make them attune to any circumstances of life. The lower half of ‘J’ in logo is shaped in form of the trunk, to hold and retain the knowledge.

· The elephant eyes are said to possess natural deceptiveness that allows them to perceive objects to be bigger than what they really are. Thus it indicates to surrender one's pride and attain humility. The two ‘O’ symbolize the eyes, to observe and gain insight into people’s behavior and aspiration and understand them better.

There is more to ancient, spiritual wisdom and if you look closely and wildly stretch one’s own imagination, the universe is the limit.

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗷𝗼 – 𝟳 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴.

𝟭. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄
Most of us long for a legacy, some stake in the future that says, “I was here.” What better legacy than to be a part of shaping tomorrow’s leaders?
𝟮. 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀
Mentoring is a unique opportunity to step outside my normal circle of friends and social media’s echo chamber to gain an intimate understanding of how the world looks through someone else’s eyes. New perspectives lead to fresh ideas, and who knows where fresh ideas could lead me?
𝟯. 𝗣𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Usually mentors end up working with younger mentees, sometimes much younger. Different generations think and act differently. If I am to be an effective leader, I need to have an understanding of how younger generations see things and where they can make a difference to the my own learning. The intimacy of a mentoring relationship offers a unique insight into these generational differences.
𝟰. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱
Do you remember a teacher, a coach or a former boss who said or did something that changed the trajectory of your life? Hopefully, this is my chance to do that for someone else.
𝟱. 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
Working one-on-one with a mentee will sharpen my emotional radar. To gauge the emotional state of the other person and respond with empathy.
𝟲. 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱
There is no better way to embed knowledge than through teaching. By passing this knowledge on to a novice, I clarify and embed those lessons within myself.

There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you are making a difference to someone else’s life.
