Everest (2015)
Director: Baltasar Kormákur

The story of New Zealand's Robert "Rob" Edwin Hall, who on May 10, 1996, together with Scott Fischer, teamed up on a joint expedition to ascend Mount Everest.

Fun facts:
● When Rob Hall (Jason Clarke)'s team is asked why they are climbing Mount Everest, everyone answers "because it's there," a motto of mountain-climbers worldwide. In a 1924 interview, George Mallory, an English mountaineer who took part in the first three British expeditions to Mount Everest, responded with the same answer when asked why he would risk his life to become the first person to summit Everest. Mallory disappeared during a summit attempt in June 1924. His body was found in May 1999, just under 700 meters from the top.
● In real life, Beck Weathers (Josh Brolin)'s nose was so badly injured by frostbite that it had to be surgically reconstructed.
● Tenzing-Hillary Airport appears briefly, as Lukla Airport. Many consider it the world's most dangerous airport due to its steeply inclined runways and treacherous surrounding terrain.

● Actual lines of dialogue were written for Wilson the volleyball, to help Tom Hanks have a more natural interaction with the inanimate object.
● To see the island where the movie was filmed, enter 17.609152,177.038130 into Google Maps and zoom in all the way, in satellite mode. The beach that Tom Hanks writes HELP on and sees from the peak is the easternmost part of Monuriki, Fiji
● The song Chuck sings after successfully creating the fire is "Light My Fire" by The Doors.

● As a big fan of Tim Burton, Marion Cotillard slept with the film's script under her pillow for a month until she got the part.
● The joke with the elephant defecating while Edward daydreams was unscripted. The filming crew found it hilarious, and quickly zoomed out to get the whole thing.
● one of the clowns sitting close to Mr. Calloway's trailer, who flees when the wolf jumps from it is actually Director Tim Burton

Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
Director: David Lean

The story of T.E. Lawrence, the English officer who successfully united and led the diverse, often warring, Arab tribes during World War I in order to fight the Turks.

Fun facts:
● On his first location scouting trip in Jordan, director Sir David Lean discovered the remains of the Turkish locomotives and railroad tracks Lawrence had destroyed during the Arab Revolution. After forty years in the sun, they hadn't even rusted.
● Almost all movement in the movie goes from left to right. Director Sir David Lean said he did this to emphasize that this movie was a journey.
● The motorcycle T.E. Lawrence was riding when he died was a Brough Superior. He owned seven of them.
