Use of cohesive devices makes your writing cohesive and coherent. They have a purpose but should only be use when neccessary. Cohecive devices tells the reader what we are doing in sentences and indicate what relationships are between different clauses, sentences and paragarph. The more you use them more better your writing is a misconception.
