Aythos is a US-based NGO currently working in Nepal to bring Himalayan farmers the knowledge and resources to create economic opportunities in their villages. Aythos consults with villages and supports their ideas for development by sponsoring training and subsidizing start-up costs for agriculture projects. Food. Shelter. Medicine. These were the immediate needs for Himalayan communities most affected during the 2015 earthquakes. The Aythos team brought together skilled volunteers who were able to assess and treat injuries and sickness. We also had the relationships in Nepal to acquire badly needed shelter materials, such as tarps and metal roofing for temporary shelters, which was critical to protect against monsoons.
