Organizing team would like to welcome our Invited Speaker Wen-Chi Hsu for the session Animal Health.

Wen-Chi Hsu is a specialist in Animal Science with a Master’s degree from the Department of Animal Science at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Graduate Institute of Bioresources at NPUST, she specializes in reproductive physiology, nutritional physiology, and molecular biology of economic animals.

Organizing team would like to welcome our Invited Speaker Stefan Harper for the session Human Health going to be organized next year in Pokhara.

Stefan is a PhD student working at the Quadram Institute in the UK. His research focuses on looking at the impact of fibre and nutrient bio-accessibility on the gut microbiota. He has first class bachelor degree in biochemistry and a research masters in biomolecular sciences.

Organizing team would like to welcome our Invited Speaker Dr. Anurag Adhikari for the session Human Health going to be organized next year in Pokhara.

Dr. Adhikari is an immunologist, currently working on the functional aspect of human adaptive immunity. He studies the polyclonal antibody effector functions to characterize the humoral immunity in viral infection. He is currently adapting the antibody effector functional assays including the antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP), antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and antibody-dependent neutralization (ADN), to understand the role of anti-HIV antibodies in HIV pathogenesis and disease.

Organizing team would like to welcome our Invited Speaker Prof. Neil Mabbott for the session Animal Health going to be organized next year in Pokhara.

Prof. Mabbott aims to understand the pathogenesis of infectious diseases within the immune system. Particular interests include understanding host-pathogen interactions within the mucosal immune system, especially prion diseases and other gastrointestinal pathogens such as Salmonella and nematodes. Studies are also focused on the effects of host age on the function of the immune system and how this influences susceptibility to gastrointestinal pathogens.
