Projects under Operation
1. Syange Mini Hydropower Project
Syange Mini Hydropower project which is located in Taghring VDC in the northern part of Lamjung District, has an installed capacity of 183 KW capacity and was completed in 2001 (2058 B.S). This project supplies power to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) through the national grid with inter-connection to the Udipur Substation of NEA. The project has already repaid its loan in February 2011. Syange Bidyut Company Limited, which has developed and is currently operating this project, is a subsidiary of CEDB Hydro Fund Limited.
2. Radhi Small Hydropower Project
Radhi Small Hydropower Project, which is located in Ghermu VDC of Lamjung district, has an installed capacity of 4.4 MW. The generation license of this project was obtained on Baishakh 28, 2068. The financial closure for the project was completed in September 2011 with a consortium of five banks comprising Bank of Kathmandu (Consortium Lead), Kumari Bank Limited, Sanima Bank Limited, Janata Bank Nepal Limited and Global Bank Limited. The various contracts for the civil, electromechanical and hydro-mechanical components of the projects have been awarded. The construction work has been started at the project site. The generated power from the project will be evacuated through the 33 KV transmission line to Chipalabesi Substation which is 200m from the power house. Radhi Bidyut Company Limited, which has the development rights of this project, is a subsidiary of CEDB Hydro Fund Limited. Radhi Bidyut Company Limited is going for Initial Public Offering (IPO) in near future.
