Namaste! Today, I want to talk about a unique and intriguing aspect of Nepalese culture - Kumari, the living goddess. Kumari is a young girl who is believed to be the embodiment of the Hindu goddess Taleju, and is worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal.
The selection process for Kumari is rigorous and mysterious, involving several physical and mental tests. Once chosen, Kumari lives a secluded life in the Kumari Ghar palace in Kathmandu, and is worshipped by devotees who seek her blessings.
Kumari is an important part of Nepal's rich cultural heritage, and represents the country's unique blend of Hindu and Buddhist traditions. However, it's important to remember that Kumari is a human being and not a deity to be objectified or worshipped blindly.
Let us celebrate Kumari and the beauty of Nepal's diverse culture, while also respecting the dignity and humanity of the young girls who hold the title of Kumari.

Jai Shree Narasimha! ๐
On this auspicious occasion of Narasimha Jayanti, let us bow down to Lord Narasimha - the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is known for his half-human, half-lion form, and is regarded as the protector of his devotees.
Narasimha Jayanti is celebrated on the 14th day of the bright half of the Vaishakha month. This day marks the birth of Lord Narasimha and is considered to be one of the most significant festivals for the Vaishnavites.
Let us seek his blessings on this day and pray for the well-being of all beings. May Lord Narasimha destroy all the negativity and evil from our lives and bless us with prosperity and happiness.
