SAFE Girls Project Update: Successfully completed 2-day District-level orientation for mentors on TFGBV and TF-Child Marriage & Digital literacy including e-rupantaran at Rautahat and Sarlahi.
As part of the SAFE Girls Project (financially and technically supported by KOICA, UNFPA and Good Neighbors International Nepal, and implemented by RDC Nepal) a two-day district-level orientation on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TF-GBV), Technology-Facilitated Child Marriage (TFCM), and Digital Literacy was conducted for our energetic mentors. The orientation strengthened mentors’ capacity to support adolescent girls and young women in understanding online risks, protecting their privacy and dignity, practicing safe digital social and financial skills through erupantaran, and accessing available support services nearby.
By enhancing knowledge on digital safety, consent, reporting mechanisms, and survivor-centered responses, the initiative will help mentors guide adolescents to navigate digital spaces safely, confidently, and responsibly while promoting gender equality and preventing violence and harmful practices both online and offline.
