Sometimes exploring with different letters feels so satisfying.
This is one of it. I love calligraphy exploration.

🙏 After decades away, home at last.

The 15th-century Akshobhya Buddha of Nhu Chhen Baha, Ombahal, was stolen from Kathmandu in the 1980s, one of countless sacred heritages lost during that sorrowful chapter of our heritage.

Documented in situ by Ulrich von Schroeder in 1976, the statue resurfaced years later at Tibet House USA and was repatriated to Nepal in March 2022.

This Buddha Jayanti (2570th), the deity was finally reinstated in its original shrine, thanks to the initiative of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Ward No. 23. The Nhu Chhen Baha Kwapadya Guthi family welcomed their god home with tears of joy.

A reminder that heritage is more than a stone, it's living faith.

Hoiseee Haiseeee…! Biska in its full force, Bhaktapur

One of the most thrilling festivals in the world, Biska Jatra comes alive with an intense and electrifying tug of war that defines the spirit of Bhaktapur.

Captured on the first day of the nine-day, eight-night-long Biska Jatra in Bhaktapur, April 10, 2026.

Love is endless. Once you arrive there, you remain there forever.

I have often noticed, particularly among older generations, how they carry their love in a way that becomes a lifestyle- something lived quietly, consistently, every day. There has long been an element of 'patriarchy' within these relationships, but times are changing. Today, the focus is increasingly on 'shared responsibility and equality'. Even many from older generations have adapted, learning and evolving with time.

This photograph was taken in 2023 during the Dashain festival. It is deeply heartwarming to capture moments like this- walking together, smiling, and making the most of life side by side, right until the very end.

Lights and Shadows
Winter mornings in the Kathmandu Valley mean one thing: chasing the sun.
For an entire day, we soak in every warm ray as the cold quietly wraps the valley.

How interesting it would be to listen to music, enjoy nature and start a new year?
The new year 2026 was well spent with friends at the top of Ama Yangri. It's a beautiful, moderate hike to the top, and the view was mesmerising.
