EAT’s vision is a future where healthy and sustainable
food is affordable and accessible to all. EAT connects scientists, politicians, business leaders, chefs, innovators and change makers to create a healthy and sustainable global food system. We close knowledge gaps, translate research into plans of action, scale up solutions, raise awareness and create engagement.

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect.

From the launch of the 2025 EAT-Lancet Commission to the energy and ideas of the Stockholm Food Forum, the many local launch moments around the world, and the Communities for Action taking shape — this has been a defining year for EAT. It’s been intense, inspiring, and deeply human, filled with big ideas, meaningful conversations, and real momentum for change.

We’re ending the year on a high, grateful for the partners, communities, and collaborators who make this work possible. Now, we’re taking some time to pause, reset, and recharge, and we look forward to continuing the journey together with you in the new year.

Wishing you a restful holiday period and a hopeful start to what’s next. 🧡

Just days before COP30 in Belém, mayors from around the world came together in Rio de Janeiro for the C40 Cities World Mayors Summit 2025, to demonstrate city-led leadership and showcase innovative urban climate solutions.

Gunhild Stordalen, EAT’s Co-Founder and Executive Chair, and EAT-Lancet 2025 Commissioner Dr Marco Springmann share the findings of the 2025 EAT-Lancet Commission, highlighting how the Planetary Health Diet can be championed by cities as a key solution to the climate and health crises.

What does a healthy diet really look like? 🥦
Chapter 1 of the 2025 EAT–Lancet Commission explores the science behind eating for long-term health.

The answer: the Planetary Health Diet, a flexible, evidence-based guide that supports health in every culture and context.
Adopting it could prevent more than 40,000 premature deaths a day and build resilience for generations to come.
