Eight years have passed since Norwegian-Canarian one-woman band and producer (Viviana Vega) released her self-titled debut album. After years of wasting time and waiting around for nothing, WHALESHARKATTACKS has finally decided to rip the band-aid off, and drop her “difficult second album” without warning.

“Music for Pink Nights” leans more towards rap and synth pop than its dancier predecessor. The album is heavier on the atmosphere, and seasoned with field recordings from city life, but WHALESHARKATTACKS is still a MIDI punk at heart.
