AWASEed

I start recapturing the concept: AWASEed from previous work.
One of the challenges of the performance piece "Void Unvers" was the relationship between the performer and the audience. The audience had to move their own body to enter the gallery space and it forces them to be free from the aim of "audience". There was no hierarchy between the artist, the audience even space itself. Back in the day, here is the beautiful process of the AWASEed workshop at ISS, International Institute of Social Studies in Den Haag. You can see the dynamic movement they created.

Workshop "AWASEed (A: I don't like you.) (B: Yes me too.)"

"AWASEed" is a strategy to challenge the status of self that I’ve developed for coexistence without mutual understanding. “AWASEed(A: I don’t like you.) (B: Yes, me too.)” is the workshop where the participants experience this concept through body movements and linguistics, focusing on a variety of contradictions on both personal and social levels, and regarding those contradictions as potentials instead of problems. Participants perceive “contradictions” as negative, but when not consciously deliberating their actions, their bodily movements become natural. The participants’ performances show that creativity in the conflict goes beyond the intellect and become manifested in the body. The process to enjoy contradiction changed static perception to dynamic recognition.
